Lifestyle photography is a style of photography, which portrays real-life situations. The lighting can be bright and natural-looking, documenting people at ease and in normal surroundings. I offer very contemporary, dynamic and exciting ways of capturing real moments.

When I capture a smile it is not because its stage managed; it is because it is a true interpretation of how the subject is feeling at that moment in time. Relaxed, off guard, barriers down, at ease, open and honest. Get under the skin of the situation to reveal the inner soul of the subject. Whatever the event, occasion or remit, I strive to produce an image that engages – whether you’re in the image or looking at it.

Portraiture can be traditionally posed or as is becoming more and more popular, taken in a relaxed reportage format. I offer a very contemporary, dynamic and exciting style of capturing real portraits.

With portraiture photography the creative process can really come to life; play with lighting, mood, aperture and depth to create truly memorable visuals of people as they wish to be captured and remembered. Corporate photography is the term coined to describe imagery used for brand/organisational press and communications campaigns, for Annual reports and Accounts and for exhibitions and displays purposes.

With corporate photography there’s a very clear remit; no nonsense, crisp and concise imagery which delivers the professional face of the organisation. I like to inject a creative twist where appropriate and play with angles and dimensions to offer more depth to the imagery.

Commercial Photography is a term used when the photographer is commissioned and is paid for creating corporate imagery. Typical briefs include: taking pack shots of products, interior shots of business premisis, still life imagery of; food or fashion.

Over the years my clients have praised my ability to interpret their brief and deliver the imagery that best reflects their brand values and positioning. With commercial photography it is vital to stay true to the brand and remember the core customer to whom you are appealing. With competition amongst brands never more heightened, its crucial to deliver creative, strategically sound imagery that deliver stand out in the crowded marketplace.

Over the past 10 years, I have undertaken a number of editorial commissions resulting in my work being published in magazines, journals and on the internet. Adopting my style to the client brief, there’s huge satisfaction in knowing your work is being seen by a wider community.

From college prospectus, magazine articles and corporate literature, its important as a photographer dealing with the published image that you remember the audience to whom the image will be talking.

As the name suggests, reportage photography aims to capture images of news and events as they happen around the world. It has also become the term used to describe the trend for the more natural photography style.

These natural, unstaged photographs ensure your event is honestly captured – peeling away the layers of the polished surface to provide an extra dimension of memories – seeing and remembering people as they really are. Whether its a rodeo, Body Building event or the glimpse of a far away culture – these images graphically represent the reportage genre in its glory.

Over the last two decades, I have had the opportunity to see and capture some of the world’s most interesting and unusual professional photographs, which include a a varied selection of places, people and events.

During this time, I’ve have been involved in the many facets of professional photography,including: Lifestyle, Reportage, Commercial andAdvertising.

Through my various professional photography projects, I have been lucky enough to realise many great ambitions as a photographer. And, having seen life through a very different kind of lens, photography has helped given me a huge appreciation of life as it really is.
